On the first day of the Holidays my Bookseller recommended to me!

A partridge in a pear tree... well maybe not a literal partridge in a pear tree... but if you are lucky enough to find Tom Wessel's Forest Forensics in your stocking maybe you can at least see a goose on a frozen pond!

FOREST FORENSICS: A FIELD GUIDE TO READING THE FORESTED LANDSCAPE by Tom Wessels. I love hiking through the forests of New England. I often wonder when I come across a stone wall in the middle of the forest what the landscape looked like a hundred or more years ago. Tom Wessels shows us how to read the forest with dozens of full color photographs. You will be able to determine whether a forest once was a sheep pasture, a logging site, or damaged by wind or fire. Compact enough to fit in a backpack, this book is a must-have for any outdoors person. ~Joan

For the next twelve days we will be posting some of our favorite reads from this years winter newsletter!

Best wishes y'all! Stay warm and cozy (perhaps even with a book!)

Paz,

Nieves
